Our Perspective

Bacari delivers the brand’s eponymous Old World European design aesthetic to Beverly Hills. Designed by Alexa Nafisi of Adean Studios in collaboration with Robert Kronfli of Bacari Restaurant Group, classical detailing is applied throughout the space to complement the Mediterranean and Italian elements that are signature to the Bacari name. Bacari is a complete transformation of the former Villa Blanca corner space on one of the main thoroughfares of Beverly Hills adjacent to Rodeo Drive. Through pieces sourced almost entirely from local Los Angeles vintage and found stores from stools to tiles and stained glasswork, the space presents as storied with years of history behind it. Earthy, textural elements in the form of wooden beams and brick columns provide a rustic feeling reminiscent of an Old World Italian kitchen. Tiled archways divide the space creating intimacy and an ideal footprint for communal dining while the outdoors are brought in through a veranda effect and the addition of lush greenery alongside classic ironwork and Bacari’s notable blue and white striped awnings. Guests enter the space through a custom fitted door before being immersed in the ambient candlelit setting complete with gentle atmospheric lighting.
